NOVEMBER 2015 ACTIVITIES AT THE OGDEN NATURE CENTER

10 am – Conservation
11 am – Venomous Reptiles
$5 per scout / per class
The Ogden Nature Center provides the perfect outdoor classroom for scout activities. Have a teacher/naturalist help your scout pass off badge requirements during these 45 minute classes on Scout Saturdays. Reservation and a non-refundable deposit required. Rosie’s Story - Daisy Badge Program for Girl Scouts
Saturday, November 21, from 1-4 pm
Cost: $12
Earn your Rosie Petal by hearing Rosie’s story and discussing it with the group. Have fun acting out Rosie’s Story and help make the world a better place by doing a simple service project. For more information and to register please go to www.gsutah.org
 
Preschool Discovery Days: Plants and Animals Prepare for Winter
Choose a date and time:
Tuesday, November 24 -- 9:30 am11 am, or 1 pm
Wednesday, November 25 -- 9:30 am or 11 am
$5 members (ask about group rates)
$6 for non-members (includes one adult)
Ages 3-5 
Discover the many ways animals and plants prepare for the cold winter months. Play games, visit the bear den, read stories and create a cute craft as we learn about migration, hibernation and more.  Preschool teachers/aides are free with participating class. General admission fees apply to any additional family members in attendance.  Walk-ins will only be accepted if space is available. Classes may be canceled due to low attendance.  Call 801-621-7595 for reservations.
 
Wild Wednesdays: Gobble, Gobble! All about Turkeys

Free for Ogden Nature Center members
$3 children / $4 seniors / $5 adults
All ages welcome
Are you a natural gobbler?  Test your gobbling skills against the nature center’s resident turkey. The more you learn about these unique birds the faster you’ll discover that there is more to the turkey than meets the palate.  Please meet in the Visitor Center.
