Christmas in Color

November 27th - Janurary 2nd

November 19, 2015

YOU DON"T WANT TO MISS THIS!!!!

A local company is taking the drive-through holiday light show to a whole new level with a mile-long electric extravaganza in Kearns, Utah.
Animated Color, founded by world-renowned lighting artist Richard Holdman, is set to create “Christmas in Color,” an outdoor display that syncs nearly 1 million LED lights to stirring seasonal music, all to be enjoyed from the comfort of one’s car. Holdman has created some of the world’s most spectacular lighting displays, including one at his own Utah home that has garnered nearly 40 million views on YouTube.

Holdman, who travels globally to set up ornate lighting displays, is staying close to home this season to focus his efforts on Animated Color. “Let’s just say this is going to be big,” said Holdman. “Christmas in Color is one of my best projects yet. I can’t wait to see how Utahns react to it.”

Tens of thousands are expected to visit Christmas in Color during its inaugural run beginning November 27, 2015. Attendees will tune their vehicle radios to a local channel during the 20-minute drive-through, during which they will travel through glowing tunnels, pass by gleaming 35-ft Christmas trees, and be awed by the sharp coordination of music and lights.

“This is a light show unlike anything you’ve ever seen,” said Ryan Davis, who is an owner of Animated Color, as well as an owner of the popular Midway Ice Castles. “It’s completely captivating and will wow young kids and adults alike. I’m betting this will become a new tradition for many Utah families.”
