Benefit Performance of The Drowsy Chaperone

September 29, 2016
Benefit Performance of The Drowsy Chaperone set for October 3rd
to help our community rebuild after last week’s Tornado.

Please join us for our benefit performance of The Drowsy Chaperone on October 3rd at 7:30 pm, where we will be giving ALL proceeds and donations from that evening to help our community rebuild.

After the tornado touched down in our neighborhood we felt lucky to have suffered very little damage, our neighbors were not so lucky.  We have called Washington Terrace home for 25 years and we are working to do our part to help this amazing community rebuild.  Jacci Florence (producer) said, “we could not have a more supportive and engaged community around us and we want to give back to them right now, we want to help our neighbors in any way we can just like they have helped us over the past 25 years.” On October 3rd ALL proceeds and ALL donations will be given to our community to help rebuild our neighborhood.

Patrons can purchase a ticket to our benefit performance or DONATE TODAY by going to our website www.terraceplayhouse.com.

A multiple Tony Award winner, The Drowsy Chaperone pays tribute to the Jazz-Age shows of the 1920s and their power to transport us into a dazzling fantasy and to lift our spirits in hard times. It all begins when a die-hard musical-theater fan plays his favorite cast album on his turntable, and the musical literally bursts to life in his living room. We are swept into the glamorous and hilarious tale of a reluctant stage star bride, a groom on skates, a tap-dancing best man, a womanizing gigolo, gangsters posing as bakers, and an intoxicated chaperone! You’ll still be smiling long after the final bow. Finally, a musical about people who adore musicals!
