Family Nights

Explore the Garden Family Night: Bug Bash

 

This event will teach young and old the ins and outs of the bug world from an expert entomologist. Learn to identify macro-invertebrates from the pond, get a temporary bug tattoo and create a fun bug craft.

Family (up to 6 member): $10

Future Family Nights:

July 28th, 6:30pm, USUBC Utah House

Come inside the Utah House kitchen and learn how to cook and preserve what is growing in your garden. Watch cooking demonstrations and taste how delicious the harvest can be.

August 25th, 6:30pm, USUBC Utah House

Learn the history of soap making and create your own soaps using plants for the color, scent and texture. Learn how to make your own lip balm and lotions from all-natural ingredients.

Acorn Day Camps

Our Acorn Day Camps are offered from 9am-12pm for our 5-7 year old campers. Registration includes snack, supplies, and lots of fun! $30/camp


Enchanted Garden Fairy Camp

Join us to play in our garden, learn about fairy folklore and explore the magic of plants.

Hobbit Holes

Come explore the different animal homes in the garden, learn about the burrowing creatures of Utah, and even create a natural habitat of your own.

Slimy, Gooey, Gross

Join us as we investigate worms, discover the world of insects, and create some slimy, gooey, gross concoctions.

Canopy Creations

Learn about the wonderful world of trees, from the roots to the treetop. This camp includes a hands-on adventure in our arboretum and a tree-size art project.

Pine Nut Day Camps

Our Pine Nut Day Camps are offered from 10am-2pm for our 8 to 11 year old campers. Registration includes snack, supplies, and lots of fun. Campers are asked to bring their own lunch. $35/1 day camps; $50/2 day camps

 

Wild Wilderness Art Camp

During this two-day camp, we’ll use nature as inspiration and create beautiful artwork of our own.

Trails, Treks, and Treats

Ready for an adventure? Trails, Treks, and Treats will be sure to get you in survivor mode with things like orienteering,  shelter-building, and campfire cooking.

Pirate Day

Ahoy matey! After creating some pirate garb, we will explore the ways we need (and play) with water. Come prepared to get wet!

Mad Scientists: Concoctions and Contraptions

Budding scientists will explore chemical reactions and the laws of motion. Discover cool science tricks and how science can create some pretty spectacular treats.

Junior Master Gardener (for campers 8 to 11 years old)

This ongoing, 8-week program will include time spent in the garden, learning tricks (and tools!) of the trade. Join us for fun, garden-themed activities, and of course, creative and delicious ways to use the plants we grow.
