To those who our Sushi 101 class was not enough follow it up with Advanced Sushi 102! We're getting to the real stuff with caried techniques and preparation as well as better methods of fish selection.  Our Cooking School Chef will bring you up to their level by the end of this class.

California Wine & Cheese

OCT 3rd • 6:30 PM • $60

California is the leader in the “New World” for experimenting with new grape varieties. Every year, a new wine crops up from their old world home lands. Grape vines from Italy, France, Spain, and Austria are successfully grown from the top to the bottom of California, producing award winning wines. Presented by wine educator Sheral Schowe, six examples of the most recent success stories will be tasted, and paired with cheeses from California and their birthplace in Europe.

Note: You must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol.

Chinese Cuisine

Imagine heading to China this evening to rediscover the foods you already love right here in Utah.  In this classic no-muss no-fuss hands-on class, we weave knife skills into an introduction to the essential ingredients, tools and techniques of Chinese cooking.

Are you as obsessed as we are about the waffle trucks in Utah?  Take a second and think about how awesome it would be to have them fresh in your home anytime you wanted.  You probably think, “I’ll just have to make them myself…” We say, “Why not let your children do the work?”  Let us teach your little ones to make the best waffles ever while you just sit back and enjoy your mornings.

 

Healthy Living: Fall Feast (Gluten Free)

Fall is here, and it’s time for warm soups and yummy apple desserts!  Come learn to make your favorite fall foods without jumpstarting your winter weight gain.  We’re preparing a meal that’s both healthy & hearty, and gluten-free too!

No matter how you slice it, if your knives don’t “cut it”, you won’t get the results you want.  Learn basic cuts including dice, julienne, batonnet, brunoise, bias, mince and chiffonade.  We’ll guide you through knife safety, sharpening, maintenance, selection and storage, and you’ll prepare a simple but delicious stir fry that reveals how skillful you’ve become in just one class.  Want to gain confidence with your cooking skills? Don’t miss this class!

Fresh Pizza

OCT 21st • 6:30 PM • $40 or 2 for $70

Forget delivery pizza.  Join Harmons in one of our most popular hands-on classes instead!  You’ll learn to make your own pizza dough and three of your favorite sauces from scratch, and then dress your own masterpiece with a variety of meat and veggie toppings!  Pizza delivery will be a thing of the past as your family requests your gourmet creations instead.

Doughnuts

You "DONUT" want to miss this class! Come and enjoy a fun evening with Chef Tina as she teaches you the ways of making the perfect doughnut for your fall gatherings! You will learn the difference between all your favorite fried or baked doughnuts!

 

California Wine Dinner

Harmons wine educator Sheral Schowe, just returned from Amador County and discovered some fantastic new wines, and winemakers.  She will showcase five of her favorites for a special California cuisine wine dinner prepared by Chef Tina Jean.
