Body Worlds & the Cycle of Life Exhibition

October 23, 2014

The Leonardo Museum Announces New BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life Exhibition to Open this Saturday, Sept. 27th

My whole family enjoyed this exhibit, my kids range from 17 to 7.  I was interested to see many young children with their parents teaching them as they viewed the displays. They suggest fifth grade and older, but I felt like it was appropriate and educational for my second grader.  Be aware that this might not be for your younger children.

Personally, I loved this exhibit and I can't stop thinking about how awesome it is to have a body no matter it's shape or size!

This exhibit has been seen by nearly 40 million people around the globe. The Cycle of Life celebrates the wonders of the body across the arc of aging. Visitors will discover more than 200 plastinates and 19 full-body specimens —real human specimens preserved through Dr. Gunther von Hagens’ invention, the remarkable process of Plastination.

As we age, we experience the body in different ways. At each stage of life, we seek new answers. Visitors will marvel at the life processes captured in the exhibition and will leave with a new appreciation for the power we have to keep our bodies healthy throughout our lifespan.
