If you are interested in determining if your child qualifies for these programs, please call (801) 265-3951 after Feb. 15, 2015 for a reading assessment appointment. Assessment fee = $50, separate from tutoring cost.
Note: Services are provided on a "first come - first served" basis and are subject to availability. Student must qualify (based on UURC assessment) to participate. Assessment fee is non-refundable.

Attention Kindergarten/1st grade Teachers and Parents!
Are you worried about some of your beginning readers becoming successful readers?
Were their mid-year reading scores below benchmark?
If so, they may qualify for a research-based, motivating summer program: Early Steps sponsored by the University of Utah Reading Clinic.
When:
June 15 - July 23, 2015 (Mondays - Thursdays)
2:45 PM - 3:15 PM or
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Place:
University of Utah Reading Clinic, 5242 South College Drive (480 West) Suite 100, Murray
Who:
Exiting kindergarteners/1st graders, at risk for reading difficulties
Cost:
$100 covers the $50 cost of tutoring + $50 non-refundable assessment fee
Requirements:
1. Qualify as 'at-risk' on UURC assessment. Call 801-265-3951 after Feb. 15, 2015 for an appointment.
2. Parent commitment that child will attend full program. We do require a contract.
Slots are limited, fill quickly, and are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.
PARENTS! Before you commit, think about your summer plans carefully. "Early Steps" runs M-Th for 6 weeks. Children must be present every day, except in the event of illness.
