The 14th annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival announces its 2012 Student Art Contest, sponsored in part by a grant from the Davis County Commissioners' Cup Golf Tournament and Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper. All Utah students from kindergarten to 12th grade are invited to submit an original drawing or painting in color of a Black-crowned Night Heron using personal observation, field guides, or Internet resources to research their artwork.

Over the past 20 years Treehouse Museum has hosted numerous artists and authors of children's literature and picture books. I found this recipe for moon dough/cloud dough on Pinterest! It peaked my interest so we spent an afternoon playing in it.  It's really easy to make and both of my kids had a ball playing in the stuff. This could also be a great activity one day on Spring Break!
